About Us

We focus on developing high quality psychological therapies appropriately adapted for the needs of neurodivergent people, and those living with or affected by dementia or other chronic illnesses.

Our work includes a variety of projects centred around developing and testing novel psychological interventions and implementation of existing interventions within the NHS as well as mechanistic work trying to understand basic psychological processes which can, in future, underpin the development of new therapies particularly for neurodiverse people and people with dementia or other chronic illnesses .

In ADAPT Lab, we are using state-of-the-art techniques to do this work. Our research spans a range of methodological approaches from qualitative research with people with lived experience, their carers and those working witht them, through running large randomised controlled trials to advanced statistical modelling in longitudinal datasets some of which we developed and have unique access to.
